Our Story
Tinsel Ridge was founded in 2024 by Brent and Angie Stephenson, who dreamed of building a family business rooted in joy, tradition, and the magic of the Christmas season. What started as a vision quickly grew into something heartwarming: a place where families can come together, explore the farm, sip hot chocolate, ride the tractor, and choose the perfect Christmas tree to take home.
A True Family Effort
Growing a Christmas tree farm isn’t just a business—it’s a labor of love, and it takes all hands on deck. From the very beginning, planting thousands of tiny seedlings across the ridge has been a full-family endeavor. Everyone pitches in, whether it’s digging holes, watering young trees, setting up fencing, mowing rows, or hauling equipment across the farm.
Days in the field often turn into evenings filled with muddy boots, tired muscles, and shared laughter. It’s the kind of work that brings people together—and it’s the reason Tinsel Ridge is rooted not just in soil, but in family.

Meet the Family Behind the Farm
Brent Stephenson – The Tree Whisperer
Born and raised in Iowa, Brent is an agronomist with years of golf course experience—and he brings that same dedication and precision to Tinsel Ridge. If he’s not greeting visitors, he’s likely out among the rows, grooming and pruning trees or dreaming up new ways to irrigate, plant, and grow the most beautiful Christmas trees in the Midwest.
Angie Stephenson – The Heart of the Gift Shop
Angie works in real estate by trade, but her heart has always been in gardening, design, and all things festive. She raises chickens, loves to create, and cannot wait to welcome guests into the Tinsel Ridge gift shop. Whether she’s designing wreaths, bows, and holiday décor—or hosting classes to teach others how to make their own—Angie brings warmth and creativity to every corner of the farm.
Andrew – Tractor Captain & Proud Airman
A proud member of the U.S. military and an EOD specialist in the Air Force Reserves, Andrew is thrilled to be part of the family venture. You’ll likely see him behind the wheel of the tractor, hauling fresh-cut trees and helping families enjoy their farm experience from start to finish.
Carman – The Kinder Elf
Carman is a dedicated kindergarten teacher with a gift for bringing joy to young hearts. At Tinsel Ridge, she can’t wait to share that excitement with our youngest visitors—spreading cheer, answering questions, and helping create magical moments throughout the farm.
Jacob – The Behind-the-Scenes Builder
As the family’s jack-of-all-trades, Jacob lends a hand wherever it’s needed—whether that’s helping Brent and Andrew in the field, organizing equipment, or keeping the behind-the-scenes operations running smoothly. His energy and support help make the Tinsel Ridge vision come to life.
